Today we celebrate my Savior’s birth, I will raise my voice in thanksgiving and praise for all the blessings He has bestowed on me. It’s not because of those blessings that I worship Him, but rather because of what He did for me on the cross.
Over 2,000 years ago Jesus came to this earth as a child and lived as a man. He’s the Son of God, but humbled himself to show me the way to heaven. He walked among us and experienced love and death, grief and sorrow, joy and happiness. He lived 33 short years, before he was nailed to a cross and died. Thankfully, the story does not end there. He rose again three days later and eventually ascend into heaven to sit at his Father’s right hand. I look forward to the day I will him in person. When I throw my crown of jewels at his feet and worship Him. Today is about Him. It’s not about the gifts or the man in the red suit, although that is certainly fun. I’m most thankful for my Savior and the hope He has given me.
