What I am thankful for…

What are you thankful for this year?
What are you thankful for this year?

Looking back over the past year I am reminded of all my blessings. I am thankful for my husband who loves me, even when I drive him crazy. We are complete opposites in so many ways, but the longer we are married the more I treasure him.  He’s my best friend.  I love him for the man he was on the day we got married, and the man he is today. He makes me a better woman because he challenges me to think outside the box. It isn’t always comfortable, but I know he is exactly what I need.

My kids, who help me to see that life is okay when life’s messy. I am a color in the lines kind of person. My kids are the sunshine in my schedule crazy world. They make me laugh and cry (because they are my kids, after all).  They also remind me every day that God’s grace is alive and well. I am one blessed Mommy.

My grandmothers, I am thankful that I still have two grandma’s living.  Growing up I spent a lot of time with both sets of grandparents, so I have good memories of always being loved. Now as an adult, I can call my grandma’s and share grandkid stories or talk politics. I believe I inherited my love of politics from my Grandma Smith. She is a fireball. 🙂 I have a deep respect for both my grandma’s. They love the Lord and have shown me it’s okay to be a strong woman, with a slightly off the wall sense of humor while serving the Lord. What a gift I have been given. I treasure each day I am given with these amazing women.

CUS474ThankfulI am thankful for God, who carries me through each day. He has given me a wonderful family and blessed me with a desire to write. He reminds me every day that He is in control, and He doesn’t need my help, even though I offer it quite frequently. I am so thankful that I can trust Him.

I have so much to be thankful for this year. I pray your Thanksgiving is just as blessed.

Stacey
