I love Pinterest! Can I get an Amen?
I love to pin cute projects and for a few years I would actually drive to Hobby Lobby and buy all the supplies needed to make said project, only to have the bag of goodies languish in a closet. See, I learned long ago that I’m not a very crafty person. It’s just better for everyone involved (including my check book) if I go out and and buy that cute item on Etsy and be done with it.
It really is cheaper since I won’t spend my money trying to make that Valentine’s centerpiece, which will never look like the one in the picture. I look at it as I’m supporting someone else’s passion in life and I’m happy to have something cute for my home without all the stress. But… I still can’t stay away from Pinterest. A small part of me always thinks… maybe one day! I’m a dreamer, what can I say?
Well, I finally made something off Pinterest that turned out. I made my own face scrub and it’s amazing! It took me no more than five minutes to make it, since I had all the ingredients in my kitchen. I only had to buy the jar to put the scrub in, which required a visit to Hobby Lobby.
I’m posting the recipe, but here’s the website where I found the actual recipe: Stay Gorgeous
DIY Blemish Erasing Body Scrub
What you need:
-2 cups sugar
-1/4 cup coconut oil
-1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
-1/2 Tbsp. Honey
-1 Tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix everything together in a bowl, then store in a sealed jar. I bought my jar at Hobby Lobby, but anything you have at home will work fine.
Since this recipe has coconut oil in it, I haven’t needed to moisturize at night. My skin has stayed so soft and hydrated. I hope you enjoy it.
Have a great week!
