Here we go: ACFW 2015 Writer’s Conference

In a few short days, I’ll load up my car and drive to Dallas with a few of my favorite writer friends.  For four days, we will talk: writing, characters, books, plotting, publishing, aACFW logond probably agents. I’m so excited and thankful for this opportunity to attend the American Christian Fiction Writer’s Conference. This is the second year I will pitch a finished manuscript (it’s called a manuscript until it’s published) to agents and publishers, I will sit in class and absorb the wisdom offered by those I respect, and lastly I will network like crazy. I can NOT wait for it all to start. Seriously, this is like Christmas vacation for writers.

In order to prepare, blogger and author Laurie Tomlinson is hosting her annual pre-conference mixer.

Here are the questions and my responses:

Name: Stacey Zin3973 Z fall V retouchk

Location: Houston, TX

What you write/tagline/trademark: Contemporary Romance / “Experience Faith and Fiction”

Place in the book world: Currently working on my third manuscript. My second is going through final polish before being submitted to two agents who requested it.

On a scale of hugger to 10-foot-pole, please rate your personal space: I love HUGS!

The unique talking point that will get you going for hours: Anything writing… I love to talk plots and where you are in your journey, family, and travel.

Loved ones at home you’ll be missing: My husband and two kids (daughter and son).

Conference goals we can pray for? That my appointments will go according to God’s plan. I will keep a joyful spirit and enjoy the conference.  Also, that I will have the sensitivity to know when someone needs prayer.  The conference can be quite a rollercoaster, so I want to pray for those who need it.

Anything we can celebrate with you? The past year has been a hard one as I’ve tackled a new style of writing, but I’m excited to see what this next year will bring.  This conference starts a new writing year for me and I can’t wait to see what God has planned.

One or two ways we can help you build your platform? You can like my writer page on Facebook or follow me on Twitter. I’m happy to return the favor.
