You may notice that my blog is a little quiet over the next five days. I will not be posting while I am away at the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) Conference in Dallas. Instead of posting on my blog, I will be a very busy lady attending classes, seminars, meetings, or whatever else they might call them. While I am in Dallas, I am going to be rubbing shoulders with published writers (I am hoping some of their talent will rub off on me), agents, editors, and publishers.
It is going to be a crazy jam packed three days of conference activities and I can’t wait to get started! I am already registered for my classes. I have signed up for sessions called: Plot your Novel in 30 Episodes, The Four Pillars of a Best Selling Novel, Basic Fiction Techniques: The Creative & The Practical. I know that those classes probably do not sound very exciting to most of you, but they are just a small sample of how my days will be filled, and I am thrilled!
I will also be meeting with two mentors who will review the book that I am currently writing. They will give me feedback on what I can do to improve my writing or the storyline. My days are going to be busy, but they will also be blessed. Your prayers and good thoughts would be appreciated as I head into the next few days. Dan is going to be holding down the fort with Bethany here at home. John will be making the drive to Dallas with me, where my incredibly sweet and kindhearted sister-in-law is going to be taking care of him for me. Without Dan and Laura, I know I wouldn’t be able to do this, so they are both deserving of my praise and gratitude.
I hope you all have a great week, too! See you on the other side. 🙂
